Following this document: http://help.screenconnect.com/HOWTO-0008.ashx, I've changed my web.config from this:

<smtp from="helpdesk@mydomain.com">
<network host="mail.mydomain.com" defaultCredentials="true" />
</smtp>


To this:

<network host="mail.mydomain.com" userName="helpdesk@mydomain.com" password="MyPassword" />

However, when I do that, I can no longer browse to my ScreenConnect webpage. When I revert the settings back, it works again.

I would really like to get this running, as we've run into problems when relaying is permitted on our email server.

BTW, all of ScreenConnect's Windows services are running, even though the web server doesn't respond.

Also, when I first made the change to the web.config, I thought perhaps I had screwed something up. I tried to use the installer in Repair mode, but it aborted itself part way through the process.
