We have a computer that is in our Access session. It is currently logged on from a computer not at our site, and we want to end that connection to free up the license. Is there a way to End the connection without losing the computer from Access. If we click "End" then we have to reinstall the Screen Connect client to connect again. I was hoping to end it without having to reinstall.

Thanks,
Steve

You're right, you don't want to 'End' the session. Instead what you want to do is Kick the user who incorrectly left the connection open out of the session. You can do this from the Participants control panel, more info here.

scott, i think it would be a good idea to incorporate a kick button in the website. opening the remote connection is a step to much i think for such a basic thing.

for access sessions, there should be a kick button on the dashboard. for meetings it is ok in the client.

That's definitely a registered enhancement request; I will add your +1 to the request.

Note: this only works for v.5.6 and up, right?

I got v5.5 and I don't see the option to kick Participants. :?

The option to kick a user who stayed connected to session has been available in SC for quite some time as shown in the link above. I just upgrade to 5.6 but was using it for a long time in 5.3. What IS new in 5.6 is the ability to kick someone from the SC web interface without having to join the session first like above. Example of that new feature is show below. Look for the red arrow pointing to the 'X'

Got it!! I had to try it with someone else connected (duh! ...my bad) since it won't show to kick myself alone. The cross appear (of course) with someone else connected too. Flapper
