Our terminology has confused or even scared a few people but its really straight forward. Any build that is listed on our download site will be denoted as either "Stable" or "Pre-release". This naming convention is similar to officially released and beta. Any build that has been tested internally/externally and been through our complete QA process will be listed as stable and the release posted to our website. Any build that we have tested internally and are ready for external feedback will be promoted to the site as a Pre-Release so that customers who want to test the new features or fixes can do so immediately and not wait for our official release.

Every build that hits our website has gone through a pretty rigorous amount of testing and internal use before its posted, but its always up to your business environment to decide which build would work best for you. Each build will have release notes available on our help page that outlines the feature enhancements and fixes.

Also, the Pre-Release versions will have larger file sizes than the final Releases. This means the MSI file will be larger, but also the packages that the host and guests download. We include debugging information in the Pre-Releases.

Is there any schedule for the next release? Any ideas when the current pre-release will become a stable release?

Hopefully we'll have what we consider a release candidate by tues or wed. Then we'll let that sit for a week to make sure nothing funny pops up.

We've been working on 2.2 for the past week or two.

That... looks.... awsome :D

Like the design and all the new features that I can spot.
Is this 2.2 or another future release?
