We are testing screen connect.

Now a majority of our users are internal, but we do want to utilize the mobil support and help those few users who are never in our network.

We are a bank and everything is locked down. They don't like leaving a server open to the outside even if its secure.

for mobile device management we use a forwarding application that sits in the DMZ.

What is the most secure setup where we can utilize all the benefits of this program?

I'd imagine all traffic goes over VPN, so the Screenconnect server wouldn't be accessible to the public.

I would strongly suggest speaking with someone at ScreenConnect Software directly, rather than the forum. The typical "run TLS, lock down your ciphers" response isn't really suitable for your environment.

vpn or via vmware but all traffic has some sort of authentication prior to connecting.
If we open up this server then the server will be open without authorization.

the only other traffic is for MDM where the server sits behind the firewall but the requests hit a forwarding app installed on a server in our DMZ inbwteen 2 firewalls

Hi codeyell0, I think it would be best to give a quick call to our support team. We can review you setup to make sure everything is locked down. https://www.screenconnect.com/Contact
