Hi, we are evaluating Screen Connect now and I have a question. My business scenario is as follows… I have service providers that assist my customers with product issues. I have a central management console where service providers login and they don’t see each other. We are looking to integrate into our management console. When one service provider creates a session in Screen Connect this session is visible to all hosts. Is there a way how it can be accessed and created only by certain groups of hosts and not by others? We have RBAC and ACL access control in our system. What would be the best way to achieve this? Thank you.

With respect to "bigdesserts"'s suggestion, when using the option above users will still be able to see other users sessions in the source code. I would recommed to do the following changes in host.aspx.cs:

1: Remove the following line, line number 286: endButton.Enabled = (container.Page.User.Identity.Name == session.Host || container.Page.User.IsInRole(administrationRole));
2: Add these lines the same place where you deleted the line above:

if(!(container.Page.User.Identity.Name == session.Host || container.Page.User.IsInRole(administrationRole))){
session.Host = "Unavailable";
session.Tag = "Unavailable";
joinButton.Disabled = true;
endButton.Enabled = false;
}

This code will prevent a user from seeing other users session-info, but Administrators will still be able to see all the information. Administrators will also be able to end/join other sessions

I have a test pc with win7. I installed screenconnect and I'm using this for test.

On line 59 in Host.apsx we have a possibility to hide sessions for other hosts with "OtherSession" adding in Default.css.

I do a copy of original Host.aspx and paste it as Host1.aspx. I changed "OtherSession" to "MySession" and I can navigate to Host1.aspx to see all sessions.

Then I apply it to my server (2003) and it doesn't work.

Any ideas why it works on win7 and not windows server 2003?
