ScreenConnect Team: Default Monitor Quality is implemented in the latest ScreenConnect version. In my testing it seems as though high quality is never as acceptable as medium. Is there a way to always default the quality to medium. Edited by moderator Wednesday, September 3, 2014 5:25:08 PM(UTC)

We don't provide a way to default the quality to any value other than High. I'm surprised though that High quality is not a better option in most cases. What type of connections are you dealing with? Is ScreenConnect automatically adjusting to Medium quality, or are you having to do it manually? |

We are testing it on remote connections that are at least 1.5mb/256k connections. It is ok in high mode it's just that medium gives a much better response time. We are having to manually switch to medium. Is it supposed to change the quality based on the connection speed?

If the connection gets backlogged enough, yes, it will auto switch to medium quality. It takes a few seconds to detect the backlog though. |

Interesting enough I have been unable to reproduce this feature in my test lab. I even went as far as taking a pc and connecting to the internet via dialup and it never switched quality.
