After successfully upgrading to ScreenConnect_5.1.8341.5506 on Linux from ScreenConnect_5.0.8132.5459 I am getting Runtime errors in the Admin settings. The Status and Extensions page work fine, but all the other pages (Security, Database, Mail, etc) cause a Runtime error when I try to open them. The Guest and host pages appear to work fine. The actual ScreenConnect client appears to work fine as well.

I tried disabling all my extensions to see if that would fix it but it did not.

Further, upon upgrading to 5.1 from 5.0 all my appearance customizations were lost, custom logo, custom favicon, everything...

EDIT:

Restarting the service seems to have mostly fixed the Runtime error issue. Though some other intermittent errors were popping up as well. They seem to have stopped for the moment though, if they continue I will update. Appearance customizations are still lost...

I too lost all my customization upon upgrade from 5.0 to 5.1. Thank goodness for backups! Restored backup and ran installer again and all customization's came back.

Functionally, everything seems to be working, but occasionally getting an error message popup when switching to the Admin tab.

I'm sorry to hear that both of you lost your customizations, I know that's not an easy process to restore them manually.

After restarting the services, have you seen the error(s) come back?

I haven't seen the error again since I posted. I also learned that my ISP was having extreme latency issues in my area. The latency problems have been resolved and no more error, so I'm going to assume the two were related.

Loosing the customization's was a shock as the upgrades are usually flawless. I'm a paranoid individual though and always have a backup. :)

I also just upgraded to ScreenConnect_5.1.8341.5506 from 5.1.8136.5459 Linux version and now get the runtime error, after restarting the server the services take about 20 mins or so just to get the login screen, the runtime error is gone but nothing showing when you login, just the spinning wheels like it is trying to load the page does not matter if host guest or admin page.

Is your server still behaving problematic?

What distro are you running?

Yes, I am running Ubuntu 13.10

I needed to get something working quick, so I download the Windows version and have it running in trial mode on a Windows box and might just reinstall one of our Window servers.

I do not think it is anything with version 5.1.8341.5506, but more of something during the upgrade.
