Thanks: 8 times
I have few questions regarding the Video files being created

1. Why do I see multiple video files for a single session?
2. Which event splits the video files for a single session into multiple files?
3. I read somewhere that the file name consists of [session id] + [capture id]. What is [capture id]? Where in backend(Session.db) file will I be able to find it?
4. Is there a way to append value from one of the custom property to the video file name?
5. There are few instances where we have session id but could not find its respective video file, any idea why?

Hello,

Here is the setting in the web.config that determines how long each "clip" of a video is:

Code:
<add key="CycleCapturesAfterSeconds" value="1800" />

I hope to have a engineer in this thread soon to answer the rest of your questions.

Thanks!

3. The capture id is just a GUID that distinguishes each capture. It's not in the database.
4. You can't change the [session id]-[capture id] format, but you can change the format of the suggested name when you download the video from the Audit page (AuditPanel.AuditEntryDownloadFileNameFormat in the Appearance tab, though including a custom property would require editing Audit.ascx).
5. Just to be clear, these are sessions that you expect to have recordings of? (The files are only generated once recording actually starts, so if you haven't connected to a session while extended auditing is on, there won't be any files for it. I can't think of any other reason the files wouldn't be there off the top of my head.)

How would i be able to email a link to the recording automatically every time one is created?

I would like to have these files referenced in our CRM

There isn't a way to do that within ScreenConnect, though you could probably have some sort of file-system watcher watch the App_Data/Session folder and email you whenever a new file appears.
