Here is my quick hack up of an update script to update unattended clients very quickly. Just take the code and save it as a .vbs file and put it in your toolbox. Run it when connected to an unattended client and it will auto update it to the current version.

Code:

'===========CHANGE TO YOUR DOMAIN==================
'======example: http://domain.com:port=============
BASEURL = "http://dcblue.com"

'=========NO NEED TO CHANGE BELOW==================
'=========NO NEED TO CHANGE BELOW==================
'=========NO NEED TO CHANGE BELOW==================

Set colServiceList = objWMIService.ExecQuery _
("Select * from Win32_Service where Name LIKE '%Elsinore ScreenConnect Guest Service%'")
dim temp

For Each objService in colServiceList

next

This is a GREAT way to get by until the unattended clients can check for and update themselves.
Thanks!!!

I updated my script to allow for changing the relay url/ip and the port during the upgrade. Also, it does a proper uninstall/install of the msi so now it updates the url in add/remove programs and correct version in add/remove programs.

Code:
'===========CHANGE TO YOUR DOMAIN==================

BASEURL = "http://domain.com"
'can be an ip or a url leave empty to not change DO NOT PUT HTTP:// OR HTTPS://

Hi
At the moment my web is on port 80 and relay on 443. I want to change to using SSL and from what I read I should change web to 443 and realy to 80. I want to stay with these ports if I can as there are firewall issues at some sites. Is this the correct port assignment for SSL?

So using your script I would change as I have below to update current unattended clients?

'===========CHANGE TO YOUR DOMAIN==================
'======example: http://domain.com:port=============
BASEURL = "https://support.domain.com:443"
'can be an ip or a url leave empty to not change DO NOT PUT HTTP:// OR HTTPS://
newrelayurl = "support.domain.com"
'leave empty to not change port otherwise enter the port number
newrelayport = "80"

Cheers

I highly doubt my script works at it is almost two years old. There has been many changes to the backend system that it will more than likely fail.

You will more than likely have much better luck with that script.
