Adding notes to unattended sessions seems to work normally... Editing the text once entered does not work.

Is that functionality coming as development continues or am I not operating it correctly. Is there a place in the file system where I can edit it manually, if not ready yet?

OK this is super non intuitive. So you click on hourglass, then you scroll down in the log, find where you entered the note and click red X next to it.

I agree with the "super non intuitive" quote from Dushmanius.
I still haven't worked out how to edit the note.

Latest version well at least from 4.1 appears to have resolved this issue.
