We are loving the new Backstage command line access as it allows us to work on issues while the user still has access to thier PC. Our only gripe is we have to log in the regular way and then choose backstage, anyone know of a way to add a shortcut to connect directly to back stage?

Also any plans to add Backstage access when we connect via the mobile apps? If it is there we can't find it.

As of 7.0/19.0 (the numbering scheme is changing), you will have the option to 'Join with Options' from the right-click context menu on the Host page. This means you can right-click on a session and connect directly to the Backstage. It looks similar to:

Also, within the mobile App, you can tap the Gear icon within the title bar while connected to a session and then select 'Select Logon Session' to connect to the Backstage.

That is great!

Got one more request while your here, had a tech accidentally close the command window in backstage while working on a PC, any way to bring it back short of rebooting the PC?

So if one of the default cmd/ps shells are closed, you can force their relaunch by closing both applications are closed (ie if the cmd.exe shell is closed, also close the Powershell prompt), swapping back to another Logon session, and then change back into the Backstage session.

Upon initialization within the Backstage, if both shells had previously been closed, it will relaunch both. If only one shell had been closed then it will not relaunch either, but return the Host to the previous state.
