I am soon going to be moving my ScreenConnect instance to a server that does not have (and cannot get) a public IP address. I need to set up the relay on an in-between system that can communicate between the server and client machines. In other words, I need the ScreenConnect server instance to make an outgoing connection to a public IP or dyndns somewhere, just as the client machines do. How would I go about setting this up, and once configured, will the client machines need to have any changes made to them?

Build a VPN tunnel, and a port forward?

I was assuming and hoping that the ScreenConnect software itself was already designed to function this way, and only needed to be configured properly to do so.

Josh, I appreciate the suggestion, since it appears I can get a port forwarding VPN for around $30/yr.

If there is a way to move the relay to a public ip, and the server elsewhere, I would still like to know.
