Does anyone know of a way to add a captcha box onto the login page?

We already use 2FA, but as that only appears when there's a correct password, it doesn't really prevent against brute-force

I'm not sure of an easy way to add reCAPTCHA (or whatever) to the login page but if you want to prevent bruteforce attachs you can use the maxInvalidPasswordAttempts setting within the Configuration options for each User Source in the Security tab on the Administration page. I think the default is 20 (but don't hold me to that) and if a user account has 20 invalid attempts it is locked out until the next attempt window.

If you'd rather just use reCAPTCHA then I'd recommend making a request within our Product Feedback Portal.
