I have a client, where ScreenConnect is installed on multiple machines, that has a script that disables the ScreenConnect service and deletes the EXE referenced in the service. Is there a way to launch a connection using the service connection string parameters without having the service installed? Almost like a one time connection that ties back to a Access GUID thats already set up. Hopefully that makes sense to someone.

i'm not aware of a direct way of accomplishing this but i actually wrote a script earlier this week to either create a new screenconnect ID for an existing installation, or assign a predetermined ID. i needed it for creating a cloned environment for clients where runonce would be used to create unique instances on first boot.

you could store the unique ID on the device somewhere then install SC when it was necessary, alter the service so it uses the existing stored ID, then restart the service. the entire process could be automated.

it might also be possible to use unlisted persistent Support connections in the same way.
