If I am running a ps script to do this on the sc server, is it possible to communicate directly with sc without using the invoke-restmethod cmdlet?

If so, what are the commands to interface directly with sc?

Also, any basic docs to perform the tasks for this script would be appreciated. I have looked around but nothing seems to cover this area sufficiently for me.

As far as I know (and I'm doing exactly the same thing, restarting LT agents) - you have to use Invoke-RestMethod as that's how the API works.
