When uninstalling KAV or any other Kaspersky product via a remote session, I haven't found a way to click continue on the "overlay" screen that Kaspersky pops up part way through the process.

I don't even see the overlay in my session but the user does and they have to click continue for me.

I tried blank / unblank to see if it would show the overlay but no luck.

Has anyone found a workaround for this ?

Thanks,

Nige

What does the pop-up say?

Kaspersky has a self-defense mechanism in place to prevent remote systems from interacting with its interface, which might be the cause of the trouble - it can be disabled though. More information can be found here:

Thanks, Michael.

The overlay says something along the lines of "you will be reducing your protection if you remove this. Do you want to continue ?"

This is very much part of self-defence and I think in the past I haven't been able to make changes to self-defence settings either over a ConnectWise session either without user intervention.

Just trying to come up with a set of steps to make the removal process completely unattended, don't mind how complicated. Just don't want to have a schedule a user to be at the screen for a single button click :)
