Hi,
I've installed a remote access agent on a CentOS7 linux box. Is there an easy way to check to see if the service is running and or restart the service? Something like systectl screenconnect status (or similar?). Have yet to find anything in the docs. I believe my agent is crashing periodically and wanted to write a script that checks on it and restarts if needed. Right now I have to call someone at the remote location and have them reboot (not a great soln).
Thanks

Not sure specifically about CentOS, but on Ubuntu you can hook into the service controllers to check the specific service's status with:
Code:

service screenconnect-* status

You can also just check to see if there is a screenconnect process running with:
Code:

ps aux | grep "screenconnect*"

As far as for why the client is crashing, there might be some information within the logs. You can get the latest 150 lines from the client logfile with:
Code:

tail -150 /var/log/screenconnect-*
ScreenConnect Team

Thanks Scott. service screenconnect-* status (presumably, start, stop, etc) makes sense. Will check the logs to see what the issue is also. -Chris
