Hi to all,

Please assist I'm new to Ubuntu and I installed ScreenConnect so I can remotely learn about it but the problem is that ScreenConnect failed to display it properly.

Ubuntu is installed to a VM Machine (Hyper-V), if I access Ubuntu via Hyper-V and open Ubuntu it can display it properly but when I open Ubuntu it shows only Trash and the whole screen is black.

Ubuntu switched from Xorg to Wayland as the display driver and unfortunately it does not play nice with ScreenConnect. The next Ubuntu (18.04) is supposed to make Xorg the default again with Wayland as an option.

You can do a Google search and find a few articles on how to switch back. Here is the first one I found. https://itsfoss.com/switch-xorg-wayland/
