When using ScreenConnect to remote in and install Kaspersky Internet Security or Kaspersky Total Security, I can not control the Kaspersky Application Interface - this happens particularly with Windows 7.

This is what worked for me:

1. Temporarily install TeamViewer - set to run once

2. In TeamViewer - go to Kaspersky --> Settings --> Protection --> Application Control --> Change Trust group for applications started before startup of Kaspersky Internet Security --> Add ScreenConnect

3. Allow interaction with Kaspersky Internet Security interface: --> Kaspersky --> Settings --> Protection --> Application control --> Rules for Applications --> Manage Applications --> Screen Connect Software --> Expand --> Exclusions --> 'Allow interaction with Kaspersky Internet Security interface'.

This will unblock ScreenConnect, and allow it to control the Kaspersky Application Interface from now on

4. As an alternative, "Self Defence" can be temporarily turned off --> Kaspersky --> Settings --> Additional --> Self Defence --> Disable
