The Logged On User name is not populating in the session after a user connections to a support session. Is there something special that needs to happen for this info to populate?

Good afternoon,

On what version of ConnectWise Control is this occurring?

Does this happen for all support sessions, regardless of the guest operating system?

When the guest connects to a support session, the logged on user should be populated in the General tab for that session. This worked as expected when I tested on the latest stable version of Control, 6.2.12963.

I'm on that stable production version and it's intermittent. Sometimes the name will come in, sometimes it doesn't. Most of my users are on Windows 7, which is where I've seen it. On the few sessions done to Windows 10, I haven't seen it yet.

On the machines not showing Logged On User, I've rebooted them and connected to new session, and it still doesn't grab the user namne.

Mine has always done this over the last year or so. Maybe 1 out of 30 will be missing. Subsequent version updates haven't fixed it.

On a session not showing a logged in user, what happens if you click the Update Guest Info? Does anything populate after that?

And @HDClown says this happens with Support sessions, are you seeing the problem with Access sessions @MrEastwood?
