Hi,
6.1 stable seems to be missing from the download page. Was it taken down intentionally?
Thanks, Sol

I have no doubts based on my current experiences with the "stable" release, just crashed the server end of it again (2nd time in 24 hours). Edited: now two more times in 5 minutes.... going to be doing more driving today. Edited by user Thursday, January 19, 2017 5:24:44 PM(UTC)

Hi @joshgay please check your .Net version on the server ... make sure it's at .NET 4.5 on the server. See the other posts on the forum for details.

Yeah, we had managed to open a ticket and find that detail by the time you said that, migrated to another box, as 4.5 plus exchange 2010 weren't going to play nice with each other. Seemed to be a "new" issue with the newest version of 6.1 though, as the Test versions never had that issue. Edited by user Friday, January 20, 2017 2:52:21 PM(UTC)

Anyone else find the complete lack of communication by ConnectWise troubling? Outside of posts here, BY USERS, I cannot find ANY form of notification from Connectwise regarding the issues with 6.1 and even the fact that they pulled the release! Obviously having a failed release is a pretty serious issue, but not communicating the issue, current status, expectations to your customers only makes the whole thing worse. It leaves me to question whether Connectwise is trying to hide the fact that the 6.1 release failed (if we close our eyes REALLY tight, maybe it will all go away) OR do they honestly just not care or think enough about their customers to own up to the mistake and make us aware of what is going on.
We upgraded to 6.1 and I need some guidance on what we should be doing. Should I roll my server back at this point? What do I do with all of the access clients already updated? When is the estimated release date for the "fix"? Will I be able to apply the next release directly over the top of my current 6.1 release? What happened (aka how did the screen blank bug make it through testing?) What is being done to prevent this from happening again?
These are all things that I EXPECT to receive answers for in a proactive manner from a enterprise software company. I don't expect them to be perfect, but I do expect proactive, verbose communication when a mistake of this magnitude is made.

@dmanders Hello, dmanders is your server a windows server ? In that case make sure you have the latest .NET installed. It should solve a lot of issues you are experiencing as far as I know. I'm running 6.1 beta without any hickups or crashes. I agree some form of communication to 6.1 stable downloaders would be nice... Kind regards, Erik. p.s. Here is a link if you do not have one. Microsoft .NET download for 4.6.2

Microsoft .NET download for 4.6.2 I think you missed the purpose of my post, entirely. I don't have any issues outside of the blank screen issue (which is the bug that caused them to pull 6.1 stable). The real issue is the fact that the only way to figure out what is going on is to come to these message boards and read other USERS posting information that they have received from support. There hasn't actually been ANY official communication regarding the pulling of the 6.1 stable release... at least none that I can find.

Good afternoon, We updated the download page (https://www.screenconnect.com/Download) with the following message on Friday: "Our 6.1 stable release has been removed from the site as we are investigating an issue affecting the build. We've uploaded 6.1 Pre-Release as a preview of what's to come. Please remember, we do not recommend installing prereleases in production environments. We expect to have a rerelease of 6.1 stable the week of 01/23/2017." |

FYI, we're currently running the new 6.1.12232 pre-release on Server 2008 with .Net 4.5.2 and it's running well so far. The toolbox also seems more responsive (faster to load) than when we were running 5.6 with .Net 4.0.

That would most probably be because .net 4.5 is faster than 4.0 and as it automatically overwrites all 4.x installations. Afterwards all .net programs which were compiled for 4.0 will be executed with 4.5. We have been running with .net 4.6.2 for a while and the results so far are pretty awesome.
