We lost our web.config and have no backup. Not the end of the world, but I would like to get it back on-line if possible.

Support says without web.config I am stuck because I don't have an AsymmetricKey needed by clients in the field to connect to SC.

Poking around the forums, I realize that this key is URLENCODED and saved to client specific MSI files.

Anyone try pulling the AsymmetricKey from their MSI files then use this to rebuild their web.config file?

I still have most of the other files found in /opt/screenconnect

The value written to the client launch parameters (stored in the exe/msi/etc) is the URL encoded public half of the asymmetric key. The web.config contains both the public and private halves and without the original value unfortunately there isn't much that can be done.
