Should be very soon. There were a couple of things development wanted to squeeze into the first pre-release, so we could get feedback. We've got a couple of cool features that I think will be helpful to everyone.

- wrote native stub for client service so it never times out under boot competition pressure
- added banner at top of guests screen indicating their machine is under control and by who (disable-able)
- added clients sending application-level pings to detect dead connection (interval is configurable, defaults to 1800 seconds)

Some handy additions there.

I just downloaded and installed.

An email guest connection worked fine. Windows 7 didn't complain about the file. I still need to test a Windows 10 box.

However, connecting with a code did not work. When I entered the code, and then clicked the arrow to connect, nothing happened; it was like the connect button wasn't running the target script. I tested with both IE and Chrome. The one thing that is different in my config is that I have enabled a more complex connect code (AAAA-####).

Reinstall/upgrade of a Win32 client worked without issue; tested on Windows 7 and 8.1.

Reinstall/upgrade of a Win32 client worked without issue; tested on OSX El Capitan.

FYI - Just changed the connect code back to the default of (AAAA) and the connect button worked. The new 5.6 alpha just does like the more complex code.

Thanks for reporting that. I'll ask SDT to take a look.

Just installed 5.6 alpha of today.

Works fine so far.

The extension 'Rearrange Host Session Types' version 1.3 is obviously broken by this version and can't be used until it's updated.

Should the extension 'Change Client Service Start to Automatic (5.5+)' still by used ?
As far as I understand the new feature '• wrote native stub for client service so it never times out under boot competition pressure' makes this extension no longer necessary, or am i wrong ?
(I disabled the extension before installing this version)

Rebooting a Screenconnect system now gives remote control back pretty fast :)

Kind regards,
Erik.

It's not necessary.

@RGgusnowski

If you change SessionPanel.GenerateCodeMask back to your original setting does it stop working again?

I just changed it AAAA-#### on my sandbox and it worked just fine. Are you running a Windows or Linux server?
