Just upgraded to 5.5 and was immediately bombarded with upset technicians wanting to know why everything they copy in their clipboard on their own computer is placed in the audit log/timeline of every access session they are connected to. We have passwords that are only to be known by management that can be seen in the log by every technician now just because someone copied it to their clipboard while having a host session open. I do appreciate the additional auditing, but if the ability to log everyone's clipboard is to remain there please allow us to turn it off.

Secondly, is there a permission for whether a user can see a session's audit log/timeline or is this included in another permission? If included in another permission it would be great if it could be separate.

Thanks for all the cool new stuff in 5.5 otherwise!

*edit* In case this is read I wanted to mention that 5.5.9738 has a bug with the toolbox, just nothing happens when clicking on toolbox items.
*edit 2* The toobox bug is fixed in 5.5.9749

I agree with rgreen. While the intention is good, it's not really beneficial to us and would do more harm than good. If it were able to be disabled, that would be wonderful.

I have noticed that since upgrading to the 5.5.9788.5765 Linux build, the video auditing has stopped working. (The videos are set to a 30 day delete cycle... The automatic purging of the files is a great new feature, but it does no good if there is no recording to start with...) It was working fine on 5.4.9675.5750. I have tried changing to basic auditing and re-enabling extended auditing with no change.

+1 on the clipboard stuff being a bad idea, or at least allowing it to be viewed via the timeline. It's fine if it's behind the Admin curtain, but allowing it to be viewed on the timeline is -very- not good.

I haven't restored to my backup and tried re-upgrading yet, but I assume that since changes were made regarding the video recording that the issue is related to those changes. If not, I can try to restore my backup and re-apply the upgrade.

Thanks in advance,
JHM

Is there any way to disable the clipboard auditing in the meantime? I cannot upgrade to 5.5 until I am sure I can disable it entirely.
