We used ScreenConnect a while ago; however, we ran into a lot of problems with clients using deep packet inspection and filtering out SC traffic. There was discussion of creating an SSL connection first and then sending relay traffic over the established connection. Has anything been done on this or improved? It's a huge inconvenience to get an IT department to modify their firewalls to get a product like this to work.

TIA!

We are interested in this as well... but, the question is will there be a significant performance or resource hit if this is implemented?

So, tentative +1

Thanks for your suggestion. This is something development has queued for research later this year. There are some new compliance rules coming into effect that we'll need to take into account. I'll add your support to the request.

Fall back option to SSL is good.

How is this looking for a release this year? It's been a few months, hopefully, it's been reviewed.

This has been reviewed by the development team, but it doesn't fit into our current schedule of releases for 2015. This represents an impactful change in the guest client. I think additional due diligence is required to find out what the best method is moving forward or is this request is a viable one for the product. So your request is not forgotten, just something that is not a quick fix.
