Like Linux, our Java client works great in unattended mode on macs. It just isn't packaged easily, yet. We've attached the service definition file. You'll need to modify the attached file for your installation, then copy it to the /Library/LaunchAgents directory. You'll need to copy Elsinore.ScreenConnect.Core.jar and Elsinore.ScreenConnect.Client.jar to /usr/lib/ Then once you reboot ScreenConnect should run. Let us know how it goes. We did this on a new OS X Lion. Everything seemed to work fine. When the computer starts up it brings up a "Waiting for host...." prompt, and it displays in our "unattended" list, but when you try to host the connection, all that shows is a black screen with a "Connecting..." and "Negotiating..." Status going on and off. Do you have any ideas why the connection isn't able to establish? -- Jeff Hollan jeffhollan@gmail.com

I'd guess your encryption key is wrong. Did you change it to reflect the one delivered with your installation? I'd rip it out of a JNLP file. |

That's what I thought too - I'll try to redo that part just to be safe, but I did double check. What is the portion on the .plist code that is 0000-00000000-000 or something. do I need to have anything in there or just leave it 0's?

That's the session ID, which should be zeros for unattended. |

Great. I grabbed an encryption code right out of a .jnlp file and it worked perfectly. We are experiencing another problem now. After you haven't connected for a while (about 20 minutes) and try to reconnect, it shows "connected" but only displays a black screen. On the mac, the following error appears:
Operation 'SystemKeyCodeMessage' not supported
After you click ok on the mac computer (which you have to do locally - remote screen is still black), then you can reconnect a host and it will show up just fine. Any idea what this "SystemKeyCodeMessage" error is that is preventing connecting to our unattended mac machine?
thanks

Quote:Operation 'SystemKeyCodeMessage' not supported That happens when you try to send Ctrl-Alt-Del. We'll look into the other thing. I was having problems after my mac went to sleep. We can't do keep-alives every minute from the mac side, so likely you're getting a stale connection. |

This won't be relevant for too much longer.
We'll have the ability to download a mac installer file (pkg) from the Build Installer dialog in the next pre-release. |
