Problem:

Your guest tries to run your support client app like normal and clickonce stops and gives this error (found in the "Details"):

Following errors were detected during this operation.
* [5/12/2014 3:48:08 PM] System.Configuration.ConfigurationErrorsException
- Error creating the Web Proxy specified in the 'system.net/defaultProxy' configuration section.

Solution:

After seeing there is absolutely no proxy present on the system/being used, and that there is no network drive involved (just a plain vanilla workstation setup), try running the command prompt with administrator privileges and typing "netsh winsock reset"

Then reboot.
