When I leave an unattended session, is there a way to have ScreenConnect log the user off whenever a technician leaves a session? I do not want the remote machine to be left in a state where someone could work on it without having to enter a password.

In version 4.2 we have introduced 2 values which can be added to the app.config (http://help.screenconnect.com/Creating_the_app.config_file)which will lock the machine when a tech disconnects.

Quote:
AccessLockMachineOnDisconnect
and
SupportLockMachineOnDisconnect

For Access sessions, the tag would be:

Code:
<setting name="AccessLockMachineOnDisconnect" serializeAs="String">
<value>true</value>
</setting>

For Support sessions:

Code:
<setting name="SupportLockMachineOnDisconnect" serializeAs="String">
<value>true</value>
</setting>

You will have to reinstall the clients from the Host Page for this to take affect.

I have added all of the computers at my company via the 'access' group method. That way, if someone calls me for support, I can instantaneously connect and provide assistance. At other times, I may need to access an unattended PC for any other reason. I was wondering if there was a way to set up ScreenConnect so that:

If the user was active (PC wasn't locked) then ScreenConnect will not lock the PC on disconnect.
Otherwise, If the PC was locked, it will lock upon remote session disconnect.

Thanks!!

Not to my knowledge, but I will check with development and if we can not I will add as a feature request.

I support this version of how the Lock upon ScreenConnect disconnect should work. It was the way the LogMeIn worked.

We are also interested in this feature.
The ScreenConnect client runs on a few servers with a modified app.config (lock after disconnect). Our problem is, that the automatic reinstallation of an updated ScreenConnect client overrides this app.config with the default one.

+1 for not locking where there was a previously active local user.

Specifically, Remote Access Sessions installed on Servers ought to have Session Locking on Disconnect, whereas those on PC should check for the pre-existing user. I guess this could be acheived by having different Client Installation configurations, but I'm not clear on how that can be done from the console.
