We have been asked to support a client that already has ScreenConnect installed by their software firm. We're being hired to to support the operating system and/or data backup.

Can 'two copies' of ScreenConnect be installed on the same Windows 2016 file server? Will the second installation of ScreenConnect remove the initial ScreenConnect installation?

Yes two copies can co-exist just fine. Each instance has its own fingerprint ID that is used for the service name and the installation folder.
