If you are running Control (ScreenConnect) on self hosted installation (CentOS 7 in my instance) and want to change the default port from 443, editing the web.config doesn't seem to work. The manual states to set it as 443 and does not mention that it can be changed.

Easy solution was to add a port redirect on FirewallD...

Quote:
firewall-cmd --zone=public --add-forward-port=port=8040:proto=tcp:toport=443

# Test that it works https://myserver.mydomain.tld:8040

firewall-cmd --runtime-to-permanent
firewall-cmd --reload

Now your users only have to change http to https.

So to change the web service on mono to listen on a port other than 443 for HTTPS you would not only have to change the WebServerListenUri setting within the web.config but also the name of the certificate files themselves. I believe they default to 443.cer and 443.pvk and you would want to change that to the new port for both files.

I did not have any success changing the web.config port from 443. I believe if you are using HTTPS you have to leave the port as default on 443 - just a gut feeling based on the wording in the wiki. My solution is a workaround.

If anyone manages to get it working by changing the web.config port I'm all ears.

Never mind, I realize now that you are posting the solution :) Very good. Thank you.
