In order to integrate ScreenConnect to an insternal system I built an extension with a public class that is similar to the CaptureTranscoder class found in ScreenConnect.Web. The extension compiles, loads and its other elements all seem to work, but I am not sure how I can 'latch' one of its methods to an httphandler.

The standard transcoder is handled this way in web.config
<add verb="GET" path="CaptureTranscoder.axd" type="ScreenConnect.CaptureTranscoderHandler, ScreenConnect.Web" />

Not sure what namespace or module to use for this (assuming it is even possible).

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions !

Dave

If your class is in an .ashx file, it doesn't need the line in the web.config; you can just invoke it similarly to how you'd invoke an extension method in a service (but without specifying a method; it's always ProcessRequest that's called). The Integration Sample template has an example of this with its Handler.ashx.

Thanks Alexander, that got me closer to what I am trying to do.

two questions:
Where do I find that integration sample template ?

I see some references to an HttpContext on that page you sent, but cannot figure out how to use it for output.
how do I write a stream out to the browser ?

Dave

OOPS found this info playing with the templates !
