The scenario is I'm for is: * Delivery an EXE - Preferably a portable one that doesn't require an installer. * Have that machine connect into the ScreenConnect System with predefined Values (Like an Access Installer) * When the connection drops out, the session goes away in SC (as if it was ended)
During our SCCM provisioning process, it would be nice to remote into a machine as it's being provisioned to watch it remotely. During the process, it has a temporary name. Today, we can accomplish this by running a VNC Client during the Task sequence, but we have to know the IP Address to remote into it. Ideally, we're run an SC Executable during the provisioning startup, the temp workstation registers with SC so we can connect it, but when the system reboots and the connection drops, it leaves out of SC as if the session was ended.
Any thoughts?

You could install SC via MSI as the first part of initial setup then uninstall it on reboot.

You could also check out the SOS Deployer Extension. This allows you to place an exe on the Guest's desktop and they can double-click on it to automatically create and connect to a Support session. Later, after you're done with the session, you can just End it to kill the connection. Subsequent times the Guest needs help they can use the same exe to create and join a new session. There's more info on this extension on our KB, here. |
