Hi all - I am currently using ControlFree on a Windows 7 computer and Windows 10 Surface Pro 3. The Windows 7 system is working flawless, and able to connect at any time no matter what the system state is in (active, logged out, locked).

The Windows 10 surface however has trouble when signed out or locked. As a test, I left the system on and logged in, I was able to connect a couple hours later with no issue. I also made sure that the network adapter isn't going to sleep to save battery or turning off to reduce power consumption.

I am running the latest version of the SC client on the agent. Why would I have issues on the SP3 conencting when locked/logged out?

Please advise, thank you!
JP

Do you have hybrid sleep enabled on it?

Thanks for the reply - first time I heard of hybrid sleep, this system doesn't have that as an available option to toggle.

'No such host is known' is pretty telling - basically the client is disconnected, and doesn't recognize the hostname during the DNS lookup. Is it online when you see that, and can you browse regular websites?

most likely it has the option to 'disable wifi to save power' enabled. this will be a list option under the advanced power controls. turn it back off which will let the network still be enabled and running when it goes into low-power mode.
