Currently in LMI we use the built-in end of session feedback. which is great as it keeps the customer feedback associated with the support session/engineer which makes auditing easy and allows us to follow up with issues.

With SC I see there is a option to prompt for an external survey post session, but as this is an external survey you then lose an associated session info which makes the above very difficult, if not impossible.

I see there is a built in survey tool which is used to provide feedback to SC, which is a shame as this would be ideal if it could be redirected to ourselves.

Does anyone use the post survey option, and if so what have you been able to achieve with it.

I have posted an enhancement request in case anyone else would be interested in this.

Thanks in advance.

So Control doesn't implement the survey itself but rather the ability to invoke a browser with a URL containing session-identifying information. This means that you have to use a third party Survey company (such as SurveyMonkey or something similar) to actually gather the information.

Within the Appearance tab on the Administration page, the Client Resource 'SessionHostsDisconnectedLaunchUrl' can be used to configure this URL. It populates information via the standard String.Format function and supplies two arguments, session Name and session ID in that order. An example URL might look similar to:

Code:

http://survey.companyhere.com/r/[SURVEY_ID]/arguments?sessionname={0}&sessionid={1}

would yield

Code:

http://survey.companyhere.com/r/[SURVEY_ID]/arguments?sessionname=DomainContoller&sessionid=625c7187-1de7-471b-b21f-fbe3a008cc81
