Hi,
we’re using ScreenConnect with unattended Java clients. We’re starting the Java client from an own program with a Zero-Guid („00000000-0000-0[…]“) and a specific sessionName.
The Java client creates a GUID for the machine, uses it as session-ID and transfers the ID together with our specific sessionTitle to the Screenconnect server. So far so good.

BUT: When we later restart the Java client with a different modified sessionName this change is ignored by the Screenconnect server as is recognizes the machine by the GUID.

Is there any possibility to get Screenconnect to update the sessionName with the changed name from the client?

I looked in the objectmodel and into triggers but cannot find any possibility to get something else as sessionName which was created the first time the client connects to the Screenconnect server.

Maybe someone can give me a hint...
Thanks!
Tobias.

The easiest way is to create an Extension that calls into the Session Manager Method UpdateSession. This way your application could simple call the Extension's method with the session ID and the new session name to perform the change.
