I'm trying to install the latest update on our Linux server, and using option 1 of the install options, I'm getting the following error, and wonder if anyone has any suggestions as to what to do, as it's always worked before:

What's the exact command you're executing initially? What does the wget look like?

workingDirectory=~/scInstall; downloadUrl="https://www.screenconnect.com/Download?Action=DownloadLatest&Platform=Linux&PreRelease=false"; rm -rf $workingDirectory; mkdir $workingDirectory; (cd $workingDirectory; if which wget; then wget -O sc.tar.gz "$downloadUrl"; else curl -L "$downloadUrl" > sc.tar.gz; fi; tar xf sc.tar.gz; $(find . -name install.*);); rm -rf $workingDirectory;

output is as above.

If I just run

wget -O sc.tar.gz "https://www.screenconnect.com/Download?Action=DownloadLatest&Platform=Linux&PreRelease=false"

then I get :

Resolving www.screenconnect.com (www.screenconnect.com)... 167.114.1.231
Connecting to www.screenconnect.com (www.screenconnect.com)|167.114.1.231|:443... connected.

Yes, Debian. Steven from support helped me look into this, and found this:

Your version of WGET is 1.13.14, and there is a known issue with wget where this can happen. There is a bug report of this here: https://bugs.debian.org/...bugreport.cgi?bug=686219

I couldn't see how to change wget so simply downloaded it manually and did the upgrade also manually, so all is now fine.

Mind you, I still don't understand how it worked previously since the version obviously hasn't changed as it is quite old.
